Opera Software has released the first public beta of its Opera 5 Web browser that is compatible with Mac OS X. The company previously offered a bug-ridden alpha version of the software. The new release adds keychain support and auto-completion of URLs, which were previously only offered in the Mac OS 9 release of Opera 5. The new version also adds a new button bar and significant stability enhancements.

    Yeehah!!!!

The alpha was promising indeed. Can't wait to get off this #$%^&* WinNT box and go home to download the Opera beta!

Opera for OS9 has been my main browser since it came out. Now I can get the X version and speed through everything! Woohoo

    Finally I can browse

the web. This browser is fast and looks good. Pity that on all versions CSS sucks.
