CMS Peripherals is currently developing USB 1.1 and 2.0 Macintosh drivers for its new 48GB backup solution designed for notebook users. The new pocket-sized ABSplus includes a Rescue Disk designed to completely restore the notebook drive from backed-up data. Pricing for the new drive is set at $329.

    2.0?

If I read this right, they are creating drivers for USB2.0 as well as 1.1? It's not going to do notebook users very well since there are no USB 2.0 ports on Mac Laptops. I'd think such users would more likely purchase a FireWire HD than an additional PC card. If you have a iBook then FW is your only option.
