Elitegroup buys Alpha-Top to make iBooks

Elitegroup Computer Systems will pay $234 million in shares and assumed debt to buy Alpha-Top, manufacturer of Apple's iBook, according to Bloomberg News. Elitegroup, which previously owned 20 percent of Alpha-Top, sees the acquisition as its way into the consumer notebook computer market, and an analyst with Barits Securities rates Alpha-Top's business relationship with Apple as invaluable.

    But it loads real nice-like in Navigator 6.1 on 9, lots of nice pictures of their Socket 423, 370 and A motherboards for all our Pentium 4s, 3's, Decelerons, Tualatins, Cyrix IIIs, Athalons and Durons.

    It's possible Explorer is choking on the multiple and tags.
