Afternoon tech news: Boston's Public Interactive Inc. has selected Akamai to provide live and on-demand streaming audio services; Adobe Systems will use technology developed at its Indian center to fan out in the e-book business by using its pdf reading format to enable multilingual electronic book authoring and presentation; and Pentium 4 computers are due Monday along with performance benchmarks for the chip.
