MacNN reader Todd H says he received an e-mail about a PCI developer kitchen, hosted by Apple. "The event will be held at 1 Infinite Loop on August 28-30, and is free on a first-come, first-serve basis. The focus will be on the PCI I/O Kit and device drivers under Mac OS X."

    PCI?

It would be better for Apple hosting a forum about HyperTransport or 3GIO, as they are new technologies that sooner than later replace PCI.
And Apple is a founding member of Hypertransport.

I/O Kit info is badly nee

Sure HyperTransport and 3GIO are future technologies, but there is a great need to get devices supported under Mac OS X on the PCI hardware which is out now. I'm sure that Apple will do the same for the other technologies once they are solidified. For now, any I/O kit knowledge for Mac OS X is a good thing.

    non-disclosure

It's noted in the email that you will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Hmmmmm.
What do you think they'll show?

    They'll show...

the state of PCI in the I/O-kit and how you can develop PCI-device drivers with it.

    What else would they show?
