Evening tech news: Code Red II, a new worm regarded as more threatening than its predecessor, is now infecting systems around the world, although systems patched to prevent infection from the original Code Red are fully protected; numbers from a Techies.com study show that more tech workers are willing to relocate in order to secure their next job; and InterTrust and DataPlay are partnering to introduce DataPlay discs and devices that hold 11 hours of compressed music, thwart piracy efforts, and are designed to replace the CD.

heh, ppl are reporting that their cable modems/ DSL modems are lit up like an xmas tree, they are getting so many hits from Code Red-infected comps... their firewall logs show these hits to be coming from all over the world... i have earthlink DSL and DoorStop personal firewall AND a MacSense XRouter Pro(hardware firewall, and have my Macs NAT'ed , sharing the DSL connection) and have not seen one hit from Code Red...
