Updated Apple TILs include a note about a crash with any Carbon application under Mac OS 9.04 when the Internet Config Extension has been removed from the Extensions folder; the BTO-only ATI Rage 128 PCI card option prevents the computer from entering low-power mode when it is in sleep, keeping the fan running even when the computer is asleep; routine DHCP polling will cause computers running Mac OS 8.6 to "pause" and become unresponsive.
