PrintToPDF 2.2.4 fixes bugs

PrintToPDF 2.2.4 is the latest version of James Walker's printer driver that creates Adobe PDF files without having the full version of Acrobat installed. The new release fixes a bug that would cause FileMaker Pro to fail printing databases in OS 9.1, and eliminates a problem with JPEG compression.

    After what Adobe did to that Russian programmer, I'll do anything to avoid giving them money. They are right up there with Microsoft now.

    Print2pdf sounds like a good alternative to Acrobat. If you send your friends a .pdf file, make sure to also send a like to some non-adobe software they can use to read it.

    PrintToPDF is an excelent tool. Only $20 to make PDFs. How much does Adobe charge. I know MacOSX can do it native, but some of us are stuck in the dark ages still.

    Adobe mearly pointed out someone who they think violated the DMCA. Some people have their heads stuck so far up their a-hole they can;t see the light of day...

    So by your logic you hit my car i should be able to blow your house up? Adobe was just protect its assests... you should just head back your linux box troll.

    No DMCA violation

    The Russian programmer did not violate the DMCA. He wrote the program while he was in Russia, and what he did was legal in Russia. He did not distribute the software, his company did (and actually, they stopped selling it years ago).

    It's a complete sham, and Adobe knows it. Can you imagine if you travelled to Saudi Arabia and got arrested because you had a beer at home before your flight? It's the same thing that happened to Dmitry.

    i found a perl module that makes pdf's today: http://search.cpan.org/doc/FTASSIN/PDF-Create-0.01/lib/PDF/Create.pm Sounds pretty neat.. and it's free... I agree that Adobe went to far with the Russian man.
