Willow Design has introduced three new slipcases for iBook and Titanium owners. The $60 Titanium slipcases feature either a a briefcase- or end-opening, while its first iBook slipcase ($60) has a briefcase oriented opening: "Each features a removable foam padded wrap handle around the web handle which is riveted through a high density polyethylene backing plate for extra security. Each slipcase comes with a comfortable, foam padded, contoured shoulder strap."

All I have to say is that this is one incredible company. I used my case for all of four days, and got a tiny bit aggravated at certain design issue. I called up the company (which conveniently places their number on a sewn tag inside the case) and was put through to the person who actually designed the criiter. I told him my concerns, he listened, came up with a brilliant idea, and said they would make a case that would incorporate that feature and send it to me after the next production run. I protested, saying I only was making a suggestion, and he phffft 'ed my efforts. Just asked for my address. Dunno. Gotta stick with a company that acts like that.

    great company

Sounds like a great company. In contrast to Apple, their products are reasonably priced, they care about the consumer, and they seem interested in getting as many of their products into the hands of consumers as possible.

    I am buying one!

It sounds like a good case, my WetSuit isn't so hot anymore, I would like a more full featured case :) This sounds like a winner, I'm glad MacNN posts things like this cause it helps me locate something I need for my Mac.

    Nice Bag

This one does look like a well-designed case. I bought a different one already, but I think Willow's is better. I think I'll be forking out some more bucks....

Man, I am so sick and tired of hearing OT c*** like this. If you can do better, why don't you start your own computer company and prove it? Otherwise, shut the f*** up.

    it is bad

Not to encourage this troll, but Apple's pricing IS unreasonable. PowerComputing and Umax really put a lot of pricing pressure on Apple - all 3 manufacturers were a really good value for what you got - Apple, high quality, clones, maybe a bit faster in PC style case. With no more clones, Apple's pricing is no longer competitive with PC. And it used to be. If you want an expandable computer, you need the G4. It starts at $1699. You can get a Dell for $800. No, it is nowhere near the computer the G4 tower is. But at least it EXISTS. You can buy one and add whatever you need. Apple's offering in that price range is the iMac, which is good for some people but not for power users. These are the people that want to fiddle, add PCI cards, tweak, etc. Power users need a tower, and 95% of them look at the G4 at $1699 and say no thanks. With the release of the UNIX-like OSX, TONS of geeks want to play with it. If there was an inexpensive, expandable Mac, many would buy, but there isn't. It's a market that Apple is missing, unfortunately.
