    Cool!

For only 159.00 I can turn my 2499.00 Cinema Display into a 300.00 TV set.

    Ok

So you can't use it with a Cinema Display, but you get my point.

    My tv is dying

So that could be an interresting replacement. Specially is it doesnt tax the processor of my g4 500 and let me watch tv in a window while working. (how can you make decent work if you cant watch the Simpsons a t the same time)

    Not so great

I bought something similar to this 2 years ago, though it was from a different manufacturer. The thing is really not that great, because you cannot watch anything in a window, and more importantly cannot record anything. It simply has VGA in and out ports and an audio pass-through, so that you turn your monitor into a television set. I bought mine for $40 off a clearance rack, but $159 for something like this is really not worth it!

    I agree, not so great

I'll just stick with my 7100 AV, hooked up to my $99 VCR. It'll play in a window, on my desktop, and I can even record from it, or from my Mac to the VCR.

    ATI has something better

ATI has a product that is called the XCLAIM TV wonder, it is a pod that hooks up to a usb port with cable and VCR hook ups. You can also capture video at 30fps at 320x240...and i think it is cheaper

    Yes, but -

I can finally play my Playstation II on my 21" SVGA monitor instead of my crappy little TV.

    Any Mac with VGA Output?

My PowerBook (Pismo) has a VGA output. Am I to assume that the VGA output on my PB can function as an input as well? How does that work?
