Version 1.7 of iLabel has been released. iLabel is small printing application primarily aimed at producing mailing labels, but can also be used for visitation cards, envelopes, and other purposes. The new release introduces support for round labels, adds complete documentation, and fixes several bugs. [Classic, Carbon]

    Don't you love it..

Don't you love it when the authors of shareware post their own positive comments.

Cute and small? REALBasic is anything but small, and as for cute well I guess some people may think their pit bulls are "cute" so there is no accounting for taste in this world.

(expect even more p-o'd comments after THIS one)

    Commercial-ware

With all the printing that people do, and the presence of Macs despite the best efforts of DELL and Microsoft to force them out, you'd think there'd be a bigger need for printing labels.

And not just printing hand-typed successive labels perfectly filling each sheet.

I need to print labels one at a time, with data from a database (FileMaker) on sheets that may be missing some labels.

This app can do the latter part, but dang I dont want to buy yet another peripheral *just* to print labels. Try justifying software let alone hardware to your boss when they think everything they already have is "Good Enough".

That kind of thinking would have kept us in horse and buggies instead of cars, planes would still be propeller driven instead of jets...

    i just checked

if you own a biz then its $50 bucks. Seems like it would pay for itself in expensive labels in a couple of months.

    REALBasic - so what?

REALBasic - so what? Nothing wrong with that! Let people program, if YOU don't like it, don't try/buy it.
Meanwhile a lot of programs can be written, quickly and some ideas may go to the BIG GUNS and they can write it in a language YOU like. Then pay big bucks. Happy?
Ever hear of Visual Basic (Microsoft), seems like a TON of software is written in VB, so why not REALBasic, just cause it's self-contained instead of a dozen .DLLs geez!

iLabel is written in CodeWarrior (see about box, check around the resource fork if you still don't believe it) - try getting your facts straight before posting.

It doesn't matter anyway - either CodeWarrior or REALbasic could have been used to develop this app, and it'd still be just as good.
