    Yep

    Must [he] be so rude?

Oh, I'm sure he has to. People like him who prefer to demonstrate by removing their brains that nature doesn't always abhore a vacuum can be kind of annoying, can't they? :)

FWIW, the "All your base are belong to us" thing is getting real old and annoying, but his comments were still incredibly rude and uncalled for.

    How's this for rude?

Of what benefit is it to anyone to learn Morse code in 2001? If someone wants to learn any code, teach them one that they can apply to this century, ie...html.
I would seriously doubt if anyone would use Morse code in real life application with the possible exception of being in the military.

I thought Morse code was offically retired about a year ago.

and yes this "all your base" is getting very OLD!

And I just don't get the thrill of being the "1st post"

    Morse Code

There aren't too many things you still need Morse code for, but one big one I know right off the top of my head is that you need to be proficient in it in order to get a shortwave radio license. For a beginner's license, you have to be able to send messages at 2 WPM and receive at 5 WPM, IIRC, and better licenses require you be able to send and receive at even faster rates. That alone makes this quite a useful program.
