At the Expo, FileMaker, Inc. is giving attendees a preview of its FileMaker 5.5 Server package, which is due to ship July 30. The tool is used to host and protect FileMaker workgroup databases. Version 5.5 will also run on the Classic Mac OS and Linux.

Unfortunately, the Filemaker people giving the demo kept touting the user-interface functionality that Cocoa brings (specifically, "sheets" that come down fro mthe mnu bar). Nothing was mentioned of the other advantages Cocoa brings.
