Roundup: Apple reports $61 million profit

Yesterday Apple announced a profit of $61 million for its third fiscal quarter, or $.17 per diluted share. Other reports included Apple's free printer offer, options for viewing the Macworld keynote, pre-Expo photos, scheduled TV appearances for Steve Jobs, details on Mac OS X 10.1, Sorenson Squeeze, Tenon's iTools 6.1, Nortel's Mac VPN client, Netopia's Macworld plans, Duke Nukem Forever for the Mac, shipment of Tropico and Tomb Raider: The Trilogy, Half Keyboard x2, QPS' plans for Macworld, Seek Systems' FasFile Xcelerator and EZQuest's FireWire DVD-RW/CD-RW. Software releases included DAVE for OS X 10, ZipIt 2.0 and Visual Network Operating System (VNOS) 1.0.
