DataViz has announced the release of MacLinkPlus Deluxe 13, a new Carbon version of the cross-platform conversion and file compatibility utility. Version 13 also offers support for the latest versions of Microsoft Word and Excel (in Office 2001 and Office XP for Windows). The $100 application is available as a $40 upgrade (includes Aladdin's iClean 4.01 privacy utility, if purchased directly from DataViz).

I am really disappointed to see that the contextual menu and the double-click translation functionalities aren't included for Mac OS X. These were the functionalities I was waiting for.
Basically, what it means is that to convert a file in OS X, one has to drop the said file on MacLinkPlus' application icon. That's not a great time saver ! No on-the-fly translation anymore !
I guess I'll wait for the next version, when the needed APIs will be included in Mac OS X. (I hope it will be in version 10.1)
Mac OS X is fun to use, but it sure has a work-in-progress feeling !
