Joe Gillespie has updated his MINI 7 v1.2 TrueType font family and released a new individual, sans-serif face with a modern, hi-tech personality.
Version 1.2 of MINI, a small font for use with program interfaces and Web page navigational items, now includes a full character set of accented characters and additional symbols supporting most European languages. (Previously, MINI 7 only had capital letters, numerals and a few basic punctuation characters.) The font family comprises Regular, Tight, Condensed, Bold Condensed, Expanded and Bold Expanded weights. Also included is a free 'Extras' font containing pixel-accurate spaces, borders, bullets and arrows. The package is $15.
He has also released MAXXI, a "stylish, modern" sans-serif that gives pixel accuracy without anti-aliasing at 20 pixels: "Ideal for menus and headings, MAXXI is available in four weights Thin, Light, Roman and Bold and has a full character set including lower case and diacriticals." The complete MAXXI TrueType family is $15 and can be viewed and ordered from
