REALsoftware needs to complete "features" in earlier versions before slapping on half assed new ones. I.E. The windows compiler
Such as? 3.2 has very solid Windows compilation. What in particular do you find to be a problem?

Most of my shareware apps would never have been written if I'd had to do them using conventional C/C++ methods. This has to be the easiest, fastest way to build the simple apps most developers build. It's hard to believe this comes from such a small company, especially in that it can compile code for Classic, OS X, and Windows with little or no change in the code!
The only gripe I have with REALbasic is that it seems to take longer than it should for bugs to get fixed. They release updates frequently, but the updates often introduce new bugs that then don't get fixed until a later update we have to pay to get. I bought the pro version of release 1 to compile Windows apps, as well as Mac, but the Windows code was way too buggy to actually run anything useful. By version 2 it was better, but it wasn't until version 3 that Windows versions became usable, although still not on parity with the Mac apps. Still, to try multiplatform development like this with CodeWarrior would be several times the work with many times the learning curve. It's not perfect, but it's an outstanding product for my purposes.

Regarding the knock that we release too many new features, and not enough bug fixes:
We know people think this, and we have committed to reversing this perceived trend. To that end, we have doubled the bug fixing time in the 3.5 schedule, and plan to focus even more attention on bug fixing for 4. We are also committed to 2 major releases per year, so people won't need to wait as long for bug fixes...
It's no CodeWarrior, but CodeWarrior is no RealBasic. It's a great app that makes it easy to wip things together. It's a tool for your programming toolbox. There are a lot of CrapApps out there made by RealBasic becasue it's so easy to use. Much better than VisualBasic IMHO.
