NetObjects today announced Mac OS X support for its new NetObjects Matrix platform, its next-generation platform of Web Services. The NetObjects Matrix open, component-based interfaces allow NetObjects to register and integrate third-party Web Services into the Websites building and hosting process. It includes a Web-based WYSIWYG Web site builder as well as new modular output technology that supports display in browsers and wireless devices as well as submission to marketplaces and directories.

    Fool me once...

shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

As one who was burned by NetObjects first foray into Mac products, I shall not consider using any product they produce ever again. Despite their assurances of fully supporting the Mac platform, they bailed out. I can never be sure that they will not do it again.

When they screwed all their Mac customers, myself included, I moved all my site work to Adobe GoLive where it will stay... I hope others feel the same and I hope NetObjects loses its shirt on their work porting their product to MacOSX.

    Now Now..

There's a bigger reason for them to stay in the Mac market.. that being Mac OS X Server. If they're smart, they'll build some serious integration into Mac OS X Server this time around. Given the UNIX-like nature of X, it should be far easier going for them this time.

    netobject sucks

stop playing games with a crappy software. Go to DreamWeaver... or if you need to DW ultra Dev.

Go Live was good, NetObjects was never good, and DW is the king.

    Waste of time

I actually spent more time as a private beta tester on both Netobjects Fusion 2 & 3 than I care to remember. I was hoping to meet the team at MacWorld SF 1998, but they bailed out of the conference. I realized then that they had zero interest in the Macintosh market.

I switched to Dreamweaver and spent hours cleaning up the crappy HTML Netobjects created.

I will NEVER EVER consider using anything from this crummy company and will make sure my clients steer well clear from them also.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish!!

    Netobjects

I was also a mac netobjects fusion user that migrated to golive once they left the mac market. I won't buy a netobjects product, but their support of the platform (if it is indeed true) may be a path for some PC users to come over. So, in that respect its a good thing.
