Iomega is now shipping DataSafe NAS network attached storage servers in 160GB and 320GB capacities. The devices incorporate Windows 2000 technology and offer multiple Ethernet connections and RAID 5 data protection. The servers, $3,300 and $5000 respectively, include a 20- and 20-seat license for Iomega QuikSync 3 automatic client backup software are compatible with Windows, Linux/UNIX, Macintosh and NetWare clients. NAS servers can be monitored remotely through a Web browser interface and offer network status reporting and automatic e-mail alerts.
