    Kicks a**!

I've used LaunchBar on NEXTSTEP, OPENSTEP, Mac OS X Server and now Mac OS X and it keeps getting better and better. I use it as an application switcher/launcher as well as for looking up documentation while developing. Command-space and typing "NSButton" will give you the choice between NSButton.html and NSButton.h. Try it for a day.. you won't be disappointed. No more searching for files using the Finder!!

    Sanity Saver

Launch bar single-handedly made Mac OS X Server tolerable and continues the tradition on MacOS X. Thank you Objective Development.

    Neat

Cool idea. Only problem is that it doesn't appear to scan for apps in your home directory. I install lots of apps in my "apps" directory that i created in my home dir, rather than the global /Applications, so everything I have in there isn't recognized by this program. I havent gotten to play with it much yet so I'm sure I can add them manually, but it would be nice if it scanned more things.

    RE: Neat

I haven't done anything to LaunchBar and it scanned my Applications folder in my home directory. Under File - Open Configuration you can see a list of folders that are scanned and how often they are scanned.

    Essential

A major time and frustration saver -- improves the MacOS X experience quite a bit. Attention is paid to little details, too. A pleasure to use.

[Neat -- put your apps in "~/Applications", not just "~/apps", and LaunchBar will find them. Finder will also then recognize them when looking for default apps for file types/extensions (this is a MacOS X convention). And yes, it is also easy to add other directories for LaunchBar to search.]

    Email address search??

It's great... but you should be able to search for email addresses and this does not work for me - anybody have some hints for this to work??
