Burst real-time video video coming to Mac

updated 01:12 pm EDT, Wed May 24, 2000

Burst.Com has released Burstware 2.0 for Windows. Burstware is a "faster-than-real-time" video and audio delivery system for IP networks. New features include a Burst-enabled QuickTime Player for Windows, an enhanced narrow band viewing feature and a pluggable access control interface. It can deliver content to both the Windows Media Player and the QuickTime Player from a single server running on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Linux or Solaris. Burst.com plans to release a QuickTime Player version for the Macintosh platform later this year.
