    Whatever

More Java news than OS X news.

    Crack Dealers

I've decided that Borland and Webgain are like crack dealers. Their Java IDEs (JBuilder and Visual Cafe [formerly from Symantec], respectively) start reasonably priced, much less that Metrowerks CodeWarrior, but they quickly jump up. Take a little hit of their "Personal" edition...it's just $99. You like that? Fork over $1000 for the "Professional" version of JBuilder...come on, now your hooked, how 'bout $3000 for the "Enterprise" version?...Now your a junie, cough up $6000 for the "Enterprise Studio" version. First hit of Visual Cafe is just $99, but your habit could cost as much as $5000.

    Just say no!
