Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Fallen, a third-person 3D action-adventure game from Simon & Schuster Interactive that uses the Miles Sound System, will ship in two to three weeks, according to MacGamer. Additional Mac titles from the company are not expected until additional retail channels for Mac games become available.

    ummm...

not to be a whiner, but this is the exact same thing S&S said FOUR MONTHS ago. There is no new information in that report at all.

    Good! It's a great game.

Both of the first two posters, missed key points of this game. Having played it on a PC it is a much different and better game, IMHO, than Elite Force (which I enjoyed). As to the 2nd post, the thing that has been holding this up is the MP3 based sound system the game depends on - is developed by another company and had been delayed this whole time...thus delaying the game.

    What do they mean?

No more games until additional retail channels become available?

    What does that mean?

    Elite Force=Q3 Fallen=UT

Fallen uses the UT engine, but with a different sound system. The sound system was just completed for the mac by the third party, and now the game can be finished up/

shoot they were previewing DS9: The Fallen in a late 1999 edition of MacAddict - now almost 2 full years later they might actually release it - crazy

    "Additional Retail"

What they mean by "additional retail channels is "until there are more Mac users willing to buy our games". It might have helped if S&S had previously released a Star Trek game for the Mac worth playing. Really bad timing, because DS9: The Fallen looks like it might be the first in that category. Well, let's hope it sells well, so we can get Dominion Wars ported, too. I have my preorder in!
