E3: Logitech unveils new game peripherals

Logitech has introduced four new Mac- and PC-compatible USB-based gamepads, wheels, and joysticks: WingMan Action Pad, WingMan Formula GP, WingMan Attack 2, and WingMan Precision USB. The WingMan Action Pad will be available in June while the remaining three peripherals will be available in August.
The WingMan Action Pad is a $20 USB gamepad featuring seven standard programmable buttons and two triggers that can be programmed for up to 16 combined functions at a time, and an easy-to-reach throttle control. In addition, the Action Pad includes an 8-way digital D pad and analog mini-joystick. The WingMan Action Pad will be available in June.
The WingMan Formula GP, a $50 wheel with two wheel-mounted shifters and realistic gas and brake pedals mounted on a weighted base, will be available in August. The wheel features rubber hand grips and precise steering control, as well as four programmable buttons that provide convenient control of car functions and view changes.
The WingMan Attack 2 is an entry-level USB joystick with a new, modern design for increased performance. The joystick features a rapid-fire trigger, a versatile grip handle, and five programmable buttons. Additionally, a high-precision throttle is mounted on the base and provides smooth and accurate power settings. The WingMan Attack 2 will be available in August for $20.
Finally, the WingMan Precision USB is a simple gamepad featuring six programmable buttons and an 8-way D pad. The WingMan Precision USB will be available in August for $10.
