Yesterday Apple announced that it would open 25 retail stores across the U.S. in 2001, beginning with stores in McLean, VA and Glendale, CA on May 19. Other reports included the looming introduction of ".info" and ".biz", a new relationship between Apple and UCLA, Sonnet's price drops, Apple's new iBook TV ads, the P5 glove, the world's fastest Mac cluster, and Epson's new PhotoPC 3100Z digital camera. Software releases included IomegaWare 3.0, REALbasic 3.2, and iMap 1.0 for Mac OS X.
