In an interview with Inside Mac Games, PopTop Software President Phil Steinmeyer states that the Carbonized Mac version of Tropico is expected to be released in early July by MacSoft. In addition, Steinmeyer admits that Railroad Tycoon III is a possibility for the company's next project.

I'm really looking forward to Tropico, and have been since I heard a Mac version was a possibility. BUT,...
I get very tired of Mac releases lagging PC releases so badly. Tropico started out with an intended "near simultaneous" release. Not until after the PC release, did word begin to filter down to the buying public that the Mac release was moved back; first to mid-May, then end-of-May, then June, NOW JULY!
I pre-ordered this title at least two months ago! Why advertise a pre-order sooooooo far ahead of the actual release!?! Arg!!!
Note: I know it's "just a game". But, it is a frustrating experience if it's a game you happen to be interested in!
