Fraser Speirs has released new freeware Docklet for OS X, RSIDock 1.1, a rest-reminder utility to "remind you to take breaks regularly, and to force you to do it. RSIDock lets you choose a work period and a rest period, and will forcibly lock you out of your machine after your work period is over."

    It's all most people can do to keep them from opening up a browser and taking "little" breaks.

    He means leaving the comp

    Breaks doesn't mean stopping to read web pages for a while, it means getting up, stretching and taking a walk. It's easy to not do this when you're coding or working... you should do this every 30 minutes or so, but few people would do that.

    If you ever get this bad, you'll probably hurt yourself, like I did, with RSI. Now I can't type more than an hour a day without being in severe pain.

    So take breaks, whether a computer makes you do it or not.

    Useless program

    This has to be THE most useless program I have ever seen. Why not just set your watch alarm to tell you when "time's up...time to rest?" I would NEVER let a computer program stop me in the middle of something important just so I can take a break...PHAAAAALESE!!!!!!
