    JBuilder

    I'm using IBM's VisualAge for Java (under Linux) at my work.
    It has similar features (checks while you type and automatic completion, really really great).
    The standard developer tools (from Apple) don't have this functionality, leaving you to specifically build and manually indenting your code. Once you've done it automatically you won't switch back!

    I heard Borland's JBuilder (free download) also packs those features. At MacWorld in january Borland was demo-ing JBuilder for OSX. I really really really hope they will release it soon (WWDC anybody?).
