Disk First Aid 8.6.1 is now available for Mac OS 9.x users. The new version, which is also available from the Software Update control panel, repairs certain types of master directory block damage on Mac OS Extended volumes, improves the compatibility of Mac OS Extended hard disks with Mac OS X, and repairs more kinds of startup disk problems. [Update: Apple has unexpectedly removed the software from its server.]
