Sharp has debuted six new LCD displays for the U.S. market, including three 15-inch displays, a unique 16-inch monitor that offers a large-format resolution, and two high-resolution, large-format 18- and 20-inch displays. All six displays offer Color Management Technology, Dual Input for analog or digital, auto synchronization, auto brightness, and USB connectivity.

    incorrect data

The 18" and 20" models do not have analog AND digital inputs; they only have dual VAG connectors. The 16" W model DOES have a DVI-D digital input.

    20"price

I did some searching on the Web, and found a Japanese site which appeared to have a price in yen (I'm not sure, my Japanese is rather poor... OK, nonexistent!) Anyway, using Yahoo's currency converter, I came up with a price for the 20" of roughly $3200. I have NO idea if that is MSRP or street, but I'm guessing MSRP, or some serious differences in US vs. Japanese market conditions.

On a related note, I read an article in InfoWeek that LCD prices are expected to plunge over the rest of the year, bottoming in December. NEC fired the first round, with a two-page ad listing their 15 and 18-inch flat panel displays for $699 (??) and $1149, respectively. Now THAT'S awesome! If Apple can get an 18" Studio Display near $1200, or a 20" under $2000, I know what I'll be getting next year! (I love the ACD but $3k is a bit much for mere mortals.)

    :-)
