    True.

The price is outrageous, yes. But Kingston is selling PC-133 RAM, while the others are selling PC-100 RAM. A sign that a revision (bump in bus speed, among other things) is due for the Ti, perhaps?

Heck, if the TiBook got a 133Mhz bus tomorrow, at least there'd be RAM for it.

    Ouch!!

So you can either get a PowerBook with 1 Gig of RAM, or a PowerBook & a G4 733, hmmmm....

Read the NEWS!!!! It's not PC 133 RAM you can stick in your regular PC. It's low-profile RAM for Mobile computers, you idiot!

Yeah, these priceline idiots never get it. It's 144 pin low-profile RAM for the PowerBook G4, how hard is it to understand? And even if you were able to find a generic no-name brand RAM for half the price from Priceline, do you think it's of the same quality? And then they'll be the first to b**** when Apple's firmware upgrade disables your crappy RAM.

Next he'll tell you he can build an Athlon Thunderbird Notebook for half the price of a PowerBook and twice as fast and start listing components from Priceline.

    Must be a typo?

$1350 for ANY RAM stick is too high in today's market!!! I just checked the G4 PowerBook Titanium price at Other World Computing's web site. They offer top flight quality RAM at a very reasonable price. Here it is:
512mb PC100 2-2-2 Low Profile SO-DIMM for PowerBook G4 Titanium UPPER SLOT w/ Lifetime Warranty (TPW512TS) and it sells for $359.95. So it is about $1000 over what you need to spend.

It is PC 100 rather than PC 133, but the Titanium PB can't take advantage of the little extra RAM speed anyway.

Plus, I suspect that they will soon offer the PC 133 mobile RAM for the ti for very little, if any price difference soon.

    right. idiots.

i'm not sure how some of the posters here could be defending that price. do you work for kingston? that price is completely unjustifiable, if it's even right. damn, for that price it better make OS X run fast on my TiBook.

Trans Intl. has 512MB PC100 (low profile) memory for the TiPB for $399. That means two (1GB total) for $800. This is 2-2-2 RAM. Also if you go to http://www.macseek.com/PB_G4_512.shtml you'll find alot of good prices. Some of the companies are reputable, some are not. I've ordered many chips from most of them and haven't run into one problem yet. In my personal opinnion unless you absolutely require 133MHz RAM don't bother because you are throwing money away. Most these suppliers have lifetime warranties on their RAM as well. It strictly comes down to budget in the end and if 133MHz is even necessary.
