SurfControl today announced that it will offer schools qualifying for federal "E-rate" funds a free "Town Meeting in a Box" kit to help them comply with a provision of the Children's Internet Protection Act, which recently took effect, that requires public hearings. The act requires schools linking to the Internet to implement Internet filtering technology to protect students from inappropriate and obscene material.
