    I don't get it

These two Kensington product announcements must just be trying to drum up business. Both this mouse and the travel light posted above it have been available for months. You certainly don't have to wait until July, just go to their web store where it is listed as in stock! They also have them laying around on the shelves at CompUSA.

This isn't new, I got one for Christmas. That holiday that occurred about 4 months ago.

    Garbage!!

I was hoping this was actually going to be a new trackball. The latest efforts from Kensington have been really poor. I have this trackball in my junk drawer if anybody needs one.

I'd be happy to take that trackball off your hands.

    Color choices cost

What's really bisar is that this product is compleatly identical to the Expert Mouse Pro except for the color (and perhaps the Turbo Mouse Pro will not come with an PS/2 adaptor). But still it is $10 more... Same price as what the Turbo Mouse USB (an Expert Mouse Pro without the direct launch buttons and in 'mac colors').

Now I love my Kensington. I have just replaced my old Turbo Mouse (ADB) with an Expert Mouse Pro. And I simply don't see why I should pay $10 more for another color (and wait for it too). Just because it is in 'Mac Colors'...

    read more carefully

Funny, ....no where in the announcement does it say that the trackball is new. It does say that the software for OS X will be shipped with these trackballs in July as part of the package. This is good news. The software will most likely be commercially ready when this happens. Now if only Wacom would get their buts in gear.

I think I will stick with my MS Trackball explorer, way better than that kensington c***. I do have the older version of the kensington trackball, the turbo mosue 5.0... was nice but this ms is far more comfortable/ergonomic/better button placement and everything (except for the plastic quality).. plus it is optical, so hah! and half the price of this kensington c***...

Kensington used to make the best mice and trackballs you could buy, but in the last few years their products have gone to c***.
I checked out this new trackball at my local CompUSA.. it looked nice in the pictures, but when i saw it in person it was poorly shaped, the plastics were tacky, and it had the outdated roller mechanism (vs. optical like Logitech and Microsoft, and just about everyone else).

The new (silver) Logitech trackball series is far, far better (better than MS's trackballs too, IMO).
