Lexmark has unveiled its 2001 line of Z-series color inkjet printers, which consists of the Z23, Z33, Z43, and Z53.
The USB printers all feature Lexmark's "signature features," including one-click driver installation, quick open-and-load cartridge installation, Accu-Feed paper handling, and LexExpress next-business-day exchange warranty.
The Z23 is a dual-cartridge (one black, one color) printer that features a 1200x1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of up to 8 pages per minute for black text and 5 pages per minute for color. The Z23 sells for $80, or $50 after a $30 mail-in rebate.
The $90 Z33 features a 2400x1200 dpi resolution and print speeds of up to 9 pages per minute for black text and 5 pages per minute for color.
The $100 Z43 also features a 2400x1200 dpi resolution, but delivers print speeds of up to 12 pages per minute for black text and 6 pages per minute for color.
The $140 Z53 features a 2400x1200 dpi resolution, and print speeds of up to 16 pages per minute for black text and 8 pages per minute for color. Its "enhanced peer-to-peer networking capability" also allows users to check ink levels and print status from multiple PCs or Macs.
