QT 5.01 available for Classic Mac OS

Craig Isley and many others confirm the availability of QuickTime 5.01 for Mac OS 8/9, as reported late yesterday:
"I have confirmed what I just learned in the MacNN forum that if you run the
QuickTime 4 Updater in Mac OS 9.1 it detects, downloads, and installs
version 5.0.1 of QuickTime.
"The installer warns that if you want to use QuickTime's Pro features you
have to buy a new key for QuickTime 5 Pro. No official word from Apple as
to exactly what new features QuickTime 5 Pro has compared to QT 4 Pro - to
justify the upgrade cost. Actually, there's no mention of the release of the final version of QuickTime 5 for 'Classic' Mac OS 9 at all on Apple's website."

Doesn't work
I think Apple removed version 5.0.1. As of 10:00am ET, the 4.1.2 Updater app doesn't recognize version 5.0.1.
