Console: $25 mln on GBA launch

Evening console news: Nintendo has announced that it will spend $25 million on marketing the North American launch of its Game Boy Advance handheld on June 11, including three 30-second TV ads, a mobile tour to give consumers hands-on time with the new system and retail store kiosks; Planetweb and Ergosoft have released a web browser for the Playstation 2 in Japan, which will allow owners of the console to browse the web, e-mail and chat; Eidos Interactive has released new screenshots from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver II for the Playstation 2, which is expected to be released this summer; and Driver 2 for the Sony Playstation captured the award for the overall favorite video game in the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, which chose winners based on votes by more than 22 million consumers.
