History Channel spotlights Apple

Last night, The History Channel aired a special dubbed "Computers," documenting the history of computing since the days of the ENIAC. The segment featured a segment dedicated to Apple. The History Channel Web site describes the piece: "Bite into Apple's history, the machine that made computers a household appliance."

The show gave due to Apple and Xerox and avoided any of the common negative characterizations that characterize the "platform wars". Woz was on hand to say he didn't really think Microsoft stole the GUI... probably better go to woz.org for more on that since I'm sure his comments will be dissected there. Anyway, the final image of The History Channel's program was an Apple-supplied beauty shot of a Flower Power iMac. Apple should be happy.
