    Finally.....

The other utilities in this area are underripe, IMHO. To be able to tell exactly what the cache is doing, what speed it's running at is exactly what is needed. Thank you.

    also disabling write-thru

Powerlogix forgot to implement "disable write-thru". this is essential with some CPU upgrades (even their own bluechip powerbook upgrade!) to avoir kernel crashes.

    downclocked cache

My cache is running at 3:1 according to plxcache, which sucks, because I know it can run much faster than that. However, I have noticed on all machines installed on, that OS X runs your computer hotter than OS 9...

    RC5 taking up the lion's share of my CPU cycles = 44 C. RC5 not running = 27 C.

This is a G4 400 barely overclocked to 433 in a Beige G3 Desktop. I have mounted a fan that blows *across* the heatsink to have it runner much cooler than any other PC I have at the moment.

    433/3 = 144.33 MHz...Why wouldn't it just go with 5:2.

using the -r option to change the cache/bus ratio didn't have any effect.

I hope this is just a beta issue.
