Group Logic announced it has released a beta of MassTransit Enterprise 4.0 to select customers. Version 4 of its file transfer, remote proofing, and remote workflow software adds a new Web browser plug-in for file transfer, offering drag-and-drop transfer of files and folders using the Web browser as well as multiple simultaneous file and folder transmission, automatic file compression/decompression, support for folder hierarchy and file integrity protection, and cross-platform transfer.

It also brings new bandwidth management functions to total and invidual file transfers, JDBC connectivity to the built-in transaction log, enhancements for Internet security, firewall compatibility, XML integration, Windows NT support, remote proofing and remote workflow enhancements, and improved system administration. The software will be officially announced at Seybold next week.
