    You've got to be kidding

This is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I'd rather use windows 3.1.

agreed. i'm not really sure how making the title bars of Aqua grey really counts as making it "Platinum." if it changed the Aqua widgets back to OS 9 Platinum widgets, puts lines in the title bars and changed the folders and fonts to look like OS 9 then it would be impressive, but this is just fugly.

    Then Don't

Then don't use it. What's odd is people respond as though someone is forcing them to use it. If you don't like it, don't use it.
I like it, I have it installed. I'm going to keep it installed. Best of both world for me... and it's not so damned bright.

And to quote the author, from the web site:

released this theme before it was done because he said he wanted to be the first to do this. too bad he was beaten to the punch months ago by a number of themes, including two by akio

    Note from the author

My goal was to remove the bright lines. It wasn't to make X look exactly like 9.1. Personally I like the widgets in X, especially when they're in Graphite. I like the round corners. I'm making this to please my self, it's free, i'm not trying to talor to a customer's needs. When I find something I like, I stick with it and use it. People that don't like the brightness of X, or the lines of aqua, install it and like it.
2nt, x came out less than 2 weeks ago. It took me until last sunday to figure out where the things were stored, and how to change them. Needless to say it isn't easy.
So, you first 2 commenters, tell me where your theme is. I'd love to DL and install it.

    Pray for Kaleidoscope!

Let's hope it gets running on X.

Dude, chill out! I don't make themes, I was just saying your theme looks down right ugly. Nothing personal against you of course.

I too am waiting for Kaleidoscope for X.

    change the name.

You should change the name of the theme, because platinum it's not. themexican has been working on a much more platinum-esque theme that fits the name better.

Not that you shouldn't keep working on your theme. Just if you're not going to make it as much like Mac OS 9 as you can, give it some sort of more distinctive name (like Plaqua or whatever).
