A.B. Watley Group today announced that Ultimate Trader II, its Java-based direct-access trading software, is in the final optimization stages for Mac OS X. The product will be the first of its kind for Apple's new operating system.

I had a Squatley account - because they didn't have Ultimate Trader for the Mac, I was forced to use their web-based trading platform which was not good at all and was missing a lot of features. As a result I switched to PreferredTrade. While I had to use VirtualPC to run their PC-based trading platform (Squatley's was way too big and unwieldy for VPC at the time), the fast executions and the ability to set stop losses on options based on the underlying stock price was a highly-attractive feature. The people at Watley were, while terse, helpful. I wish them all the best.
