AMAPI 3D v6 released; Eovia acquired by TGS

Eovia Corp is shipping AMAPI 3D v6, a new version of its NURBS and polygon modeling software that brings NURBS and polyhedral modeling, subdivision surfaces and smoothing tools, fillets and chamfers and solid Boolean operations as well as new modeling tools, an enhanced rendering module, and 3Space Export for 3D Web and multimedia content. Upgrades to the $400 application are $200.
Eovia, also the publisher of Carrara, announced its acquisition by TGS NV. Under the agreement, Eovia will operate independently as a wholly owned subsidiary of TGS NV and will pursue the development and worldwide distribution of AMAPI 3D and Carrara as well as other upcoming products such as "an advanced 3D authoring tool for the Web to be released later this year."
