Intelligamer has published a preview of PopTop Software's upcoming building-oriented strategy/simulation game, Tropico, while PopTop Software's Franz Feszl writes about the creation of the game's art in "The Diary of a Madman" at GameSpy.com. "Tropico is a mixture of both 3D and 2D artwork," said Franz. "All of the units in the game were created and animated in 3D, but then used as 2D sprites. The buildings and plants were the same way."
