Evening tech news: Intel has switched its stance on the wireless technology it supports from HomeRF—supported by Compaq and Motorola, among others—to 802.11B, the technology used in Apple's AirPort product; Dell CEO Michael Dell said today that the company is on track to meet the financial expectations it made last month; Oracle has revealed that the second largest software company plans to reduce its workforce by one to two percent through attrition and regular business performance assessments; and Microsoft has outlined its "three-pronged wireless attack" by partering with established names in the wireless industry including Motorola and Mitsubishi.

    Microsoft must not be...

M$ must not be worried about the courts anymore. Under fire for Monopoly abuses and they issue a press release that describes a "three-pronged wirless attack." ouch.

    Microsoft mobile

I'm surprised all those companies are not afraid of Microsoft ripping them off after the whole thing takes off... Microsoft would probably come up with it's own mobile phones and pagers once they've learnt how...hahaha
