Tech: Intel switches to 802.11B for wireless

Evening tech news: Intel has switched its stance on the wireless technology it supports from HomeRFsupported by Compaq and Motorola, among othersto 802.11B, the technology used in Apple's AirPort product; Dell CEO Michael Dell said today that the company is on track to meet the financial expectations it made last month; Oracle has revealed that the second largest software company plans to reduce its workforce by one to two percent through attrition and regular business performance assessments; and Microsoft has outlined its "three-pronged wireless attack" by partering with established names in the wireless industry including Motorola and Mitsubishi.

figures they are now switching to 802.11. Hmmm didn't that fruit company do that first? Home RF? WTF is that? A lame attempt I guess now. As for Mircrosloth partnering with other. they can do what they want I am NOT EVER buying a cell phone with Windows CE on it. Would get too frusdtrated rebooting the Damn thing. anyway jsut like USB the Pc world is just catching the train again
