Calling Apple "A Diamond in the PC Rough," IdeaAdvisor notes that Apple is the top technology stock in its list of S&P 500 "value" stocks. The site, which used a methodology explained on the site, notes that Apple's share price relative to free cashflow is half that of IBM and Dell. The site gives Apple a risk tolerance of three out of five.

    Yep!

Something Apple users have known for a long time.

Now, if we could only get everyone else on board.

    Tailor jargon

Could some kind indoctrinee explain just what all that "head, shoulder, neckline" bafflegab is supposed to mean? I realise there's a lot of job security for these sorts of site editors in keeping their writing obscure, but enquiring minds want to know what the h*** they might be talking about. ;)

    Re: Tailor jargon

It's jargon from "technical" stock tracking, which purports to predict stock moves based on the patterns that develop in a stock price chart. Personally, I think predicting short-term price changes is a fool's game; buy stocks for the long term instead. (And yes, I bought some AAPL, below $15... :-)

    yep

After buying my first Mac 2 yrs ago, I realised that the stock was very valuable because they simply make good products and have a strong user base.

I bought some stock at 92 (before the split) figuring it could only go up. Well it tanked, but at least I bought a lot more at 15 and I averaged out at 23 :).

The stock would be at 80 if people only knew what the heck is going on. :(
