European Mac news site MacGeneration passed along a clarification on the recent closure of OnStream: "In fact, only the US Offices have ceased operations, OnStream (A spin-off of the Holland Based company Philips Electronic) will continue to support and build the whole line of products from its European base in Holland."

i reluctantly manage the tape backup system on a peecee network at the office. when i was having trouble with the onstream software properly writing to their own tapes, the voice on the other end of the phone told me that Retrospect was probably a better choice of software....
there was an uncomfortable silence for a second. i said thank you and hung up??!?
