    This is really sad

because they had the best sounding model.
I hope they sell their technology to another company.
I ran it on a couple comps, and I wish they could have succeeded.

Does anyone know of another pay to process thing that runs on macs?

    Message from CEO

    To our Popular Power members,

I'm sorry to report that Popular Power has been unable to raise the
capital we would need to remain in business, and as a result, we are
shutting our doors. We have had to lay off all our employees and will not
    be continuing operations.

As a result, our public dispatcher will be down for a short time this
weekend as we move it to a new location. You may notice that your clients
are unable to resolve the name 'dispatcher.popularpower.com' for up to one
or two days; after that they should be able to reconnect.

The non-profit influenza project running on our system will continue to
run as long as we can maintain it. The researchers behind the project
have been very enthusiastic about the results they have been able to
generate using the system, and have very emphatically asked us to keep it
running if at all possible. One of our employees has generously agreed to
host the machine for the time being. In addition, we have spoken with a
few people that might be interested in continuing to run it on a
non-profit basis. When we know more about this, we will post information
on our Web site. For the time being, if you want to continue contributing
to this non-profit effort, please feel free to continue running the
    client.

True to its name, Popular Power was driven and motivated by the people who
were enthusiastic about our vision. This mailing list community and its
members were some of the most important people in this company and its
work. Thank you all very much for your efforts, suggestions, ideas, and
    enthusiasm.

    Best regards,
    Marc Hedlund

    Non-profit?

Isn't that a valid descriptor for any Mac-centric business?

    Re: non-profit

If you go to the site and check it out (before sounding off) you'll see their software was available for Windows, Linux and MacOS - so it wasn't Mac-centic at all.
