QuickTime 5.01b15 continues development

Developers report that Apple's QuickTime team has seeded yet another version of QuickTime 5, which has a minor bug for those upgrading to the latest Windows version: "The software has been updated to Version 5.0.1 Beta 15. This new version is a Developer Seed. I'm not sure if it is available to all using the Update Software function, or only to those on the Kicktam seed. Give it a try!" QT 5 is set to be released with Mac OS X on March 24th.

A note to developers talks about a benign "cosmetic" bug in the Windows version: "We have found a (cosmetic, but obvious) problem with this devseed build. When updating on Windows you will see several 'out of date' messages at the end of the update. These are completely benign and you can safely ignore them."

    What i hope fore

    I hope apple will make the indeo codecs part of the default install and maybe bundle them as one ext... esp to gain support for the indeo codecs under X...

    What's with version b15

    I looked at the components they all say that they are quicktime b21
    except for the quicktime player.
