Evening console news: Microsoft hopes that Amped, its upcoming snowboarding game for the X-Box, will top EA's SSX for the Playstation 2 with its open environments, higher polygon counts and a focus on freestyle tricks rather than racing; Sony may re-release the PSOne later this year in Japan with the now separately available LCD screen included, depending on how much further LCD prices fall; and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance, a 2D side-scrolling adventure game, will mix both action and puzzle-oriented gameplay.
