Kyan Mulligan notes that callers to Apple's support line are now greeted to an introductory message by AppleMaster Sinbad. "In addition, you are also told how long the wait line is. While waiting, you can also chose to listen to pre-recorded information."

    "hehe", indeed

    Well, just that.

    And, this is quite embarrasing.

    Ah, well...

    Sinbad? Ugh.

Well, I guess if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Which is why I won't comment further.

    Why not spend less...

Why not spend less on paying people for the opening voiceover on the tech-support line, and pay more for Quality-Of-Service for the whole tech support process? I guess I'm just one of those people that would prefer that the huge chunk of change that got thrown away on an actor's voice went to repairing Powerbook G3 hinges, broken 13-month-old Airport Base Stations, and iMac power/analog/video boards.

    Sinbad sucks.

    I mean, lookit this: http://www.apple.com/applemasters/home.html

Does Sinbad have any place among these people?

On the other hand, there's probably not much better way to lighten the load on the support lines than to have Sinbad blabbering into callers' ears. Good thinking, Apple.

    HATERS

you all are just haters for no reason. I mean, why are all of you so angered because Sinbad's voice is on the recording, what if it was Steve jobs, what, you would then talk about his ego and that it needs to be everywhere, or what. Just stop hating and leave Sinbad alone.
